Privacy policy

Your account. You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile picture, and use them to identify you. We never see your Google password.

Your activity. We store the searches you run (business type, country, cities and number of leads), the leads each search returned, the lists you save leads to, and a record of the credits each search used.

Billing. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Your card details go to Dodo, never to us. We store only your Dodo customer and subscription IDs, your plan, its status and your billing dates.

Analytics. We record page views and product interactions (such as which buttons are clicked) and basic device information, using PostHog. The text on the page is masked in what we record, so the names, emails and phone numbers in your leads are not captured. If session recordings are ever enabled, they are fully masked the same way.

Your account and billing information are used to sign you in, run your searches, keep your search history and lists, and manage your subscription and credits. Analytics are used to understand and improve the product. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

The leads loclay returns come from publicly available sources: Google Maps listings, and each business's own public website, which our AI reads to find contact details. This includes business names, addresses, phones, websites, published emails, social profiles, opening hours and, where a business's own site names them in a role, a decision maker's name and published contact details.

We never access anything behind a login, paywall or CAPTCHA, and we never guess an email address from a name-and-domain pattern. Business data is collected when a customer runs a search, and a business's details may be reused for later searches for up to 30 days before its website is checked again.

If you own a business and want its details corrected or removed, email us with the business name and city. We act on removal requests within 5 business days.

loclay runs on Cloudflare, and your data is stored in Cloudflare's database service. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to your searches, leads, lists and exports is limited to your own account.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and one preference cookie that remembers which columns you show in your results table and exports; these don't need your consent. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer. We don't use advertising cookies.

We share data with these providers only as needed to run loclay:

• Google: sign-in.
• Cloudflare: hosting, database and background processing.
• Dodo Payments: payments, invoices and subscriptions.
• PostHog: product analytics.
• OpenAI: reads the text of public business websites to extract contact details. It receives website content, not your account information.
• DataForSEO: runs the Google Maps search for each search.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and all associated data (your searches, lists and billing records we hold) at any time by emailing support@loclay.cc. We process these requests within 30 days. Invoices kept by Dodo Payments for tax purposes are governed by their policy.

loclay is a business tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we'll notify registered users by email, and we always update the “Last updated” date above.
